I know i know... it sounds abit patriotic there but i'm not going to curse this country i live in because god forbid and pastor says "Malaysia is indeed so blessed in so many ways that we are all taking them for granted and heaven's favor on malaysia is closing. So start praying for your own country..."
And i really do agree Malaysia is really blessed in a sense that
One - Mother nature loves us that she never let earthquake, tsunami, extreme floods, drought... other natural disasters make history in our land. Except for the extreme can-melt-and-die hotness and landslides we suffer due to the selfishness of mankind. So we padan muka one
Two - There is no war and destruction. Only minor political issues which seem to take a hundred years to solve them. No bombing, no shooting, no darurat so bolehlah keluar dengan suka hatinya. There are crimes tho :S
Three - We have the freedom to persue any religion we want despite it is a muslim country and we are immigrants (if u trace back history lah)
In short, i love my country but its the people i 'beh song' with...
Case one
Cousin and i went to KWSP building to change my mailing address. We lined up at the counter where you take numbers. Then there this 2 guys suddenly appear by our sides but like one step ahead of us and we overheard the conversation (in canto lah)
Guy 1: (lala-fied hair dresser) so how to apply one ah...
Guy 2: (abit more gentleman dressed) very easy one la.. take number first la
Guy 1: ohh... (moves straight into the line directly cutting us)
Guy 2: eh, behind la.. i think u cut line leh...
Guy 1: (gayish way of talking) weh, i reach here first one loh *humph*
Guy 2: (jus walks away)
Wah, damn @#%! loh. He blind or what... so obvious we were standing there loh. Sumore we're both girls lo. Be gentleman abit can? comfirm tat feller gay la. Then joanna loudly say "some people ar cannot line up one,so ungentleman". Apparently, he english noob
Conclusion: Malaysians duno how to respect people and duno basic manners or ethics or be curteous. Sendiri wrong also damn muka tebal and loudly say he was there first. Mother i stood there like 2 mins ago. Curse him la
Case 2
While on the way walking to times square for subway with cousin... there is this 'kuai lou' family with 2 sons walking in front of us. Upon reaching the long abandoned jail, the man suddenly walk toward the walls of the jail and stood facing the wall. Yeap, he was actually peeing in public with seratus people passing by and seribu cars whooshing past. The best thing is right, like 2 metres back there's this convenient toilet which he could easily have paid 50 cents to pee... Cousin and i was like 'whata heck...?!'
Conclusion: So this is the impression tourists have toward malaysia.
"Its a hot country with traffic jams and human jams everywhere, they have nice beaches and extreme good deals for forge items with the most foul smelling fruit but also the tastiest food. The best part is you can pee and throw rubbish anywhere and anytime whenever you like"
We aren't very good citizens are we? No mannerism, no moral, no ethics, no hygiene, no consideration...... (add la all u want)
Technology and the economy is advancing unfortunately malaysians are still very much left behind, tied down with the kuno-ness and unwillingness to change or accept new things. Sad lah sad lah :(
